Linguistic Studies


It brings together works that approach both the studies of literary manifestations - written and oral - as well as their developments in other languages, with an emphasis on cultural manifestations in the Amazon. In addition, there is the study of Brazilian literature with attention to the reception of texts; the production and circulation of national and foreign texts present in the Amazon; the training of the reader; the analysis and interpretation of works from different literary genres.

It focus on the issues that allow theoretical reflection in the field of knowledge of language, its functioning and the application of its advances.

Literature studies and their historical, social and cultural relations; studies of the representations of power relations in the literary text; studies of verbal, oral or written manifestations, from the perspective of memory and history, individual and / or collective, with possible emphasis on literature and cultural goods related to the Amazon.

 

Literature studies: translation and interpretation of works of different literary genres; production, reception and circulation of national and foreign literary texts in the Amazon; circulation and reception of Brazilian literature.

 

The objective of this line is to bring together projects whose theme is the description, analysis and documentation of natural languages, with emphasis on indigenous languages and Amazonian Portuguese, starting from different theoretical and methodological positions, including studies focused on the evaluation and formulation of linguistic theories, as those that focus on the historical and sociocultural context in which languages are inserted. This line includes studies of the linguistic phenomenon in its social, comparative and historical context, as well as studies related to research and analysis of sources and documentation related to such languages. Studies that address language planning and bilingual education issues are also part of this line. Models and practices of teaching and learning related to mother, second, foreign language-culture; epistemological considerations about the constitution and evolution of the field; problems of language appropriacy, didactic elaboration and didactic-pedagogical intervention and its articulation; issues concerning the constitution of the subjects in the teaching relations; linguistic-educational policy analysis, educational discourses and their relationships with the classroom; training of native, second and foreign language teachers.
