Integration Seminars

Several PPGL seminars share the postgraduate and undergraduate scientific production, as well as the presence of researchers from various institutions in Brazil. The Seminars of Research in Progress (SEPA – Portuguese Acronym), for example, are annual and brought in 2013, PhDs Diana Luz Pessoa de Barros (USP / Mackenzie) and Marisa Lajolo (Unicamp / Mackenzie) for the opening and closing conferences.

The seminar “Quartas do PPGL”, which is fortnightly, started from August 2011 and takes advantage of the presence of guest lecturers for dissertation defense boards of the two areas of the Program, offering an interesting program of conferences on various topics, according to the research developed by the guests.

In addition, the seminar “Linguistics Sit-ins”, an initiative of researchers in the field of Description of Indigenous Languages, aims to provide postgraduate (and undergraduate) students with contact with national and foreign researchers in the field of Descriptive Linguistics to ensure a broad view of this field of study. From the Professors' perspective, the seminar provides a space for discussion and explanation of themes addressed in the Program, favoring the integration between them.
